I haven't tried nxMakaqu. I tend to have more luck with CDI files. I'll give it a go later. Do you know how to correctly burn this on mac? Should I use a boot disc like DCHakker or maybe run it through Mac Dream Tool to create a selfboot? I'm unsure as it's missing a 1st Read Bin and IP bin.

Junker, I think Drill is still under production. They've got a demo you can download at:

http://www.drill.rr.nu/download.htm

I guess we'll know when it gets done. The demo is very impressive though.

djmihow - if you want to find out the mac address, start up Mario Kart, go to 'Nintendo WFC', then 'Nintendo WFC Settings', then 'Options', then 'System Information'. There it is. You can now use it with your MAC filtering on your router etc.

I'd love to see this on the DC, but have to admit I'm a bit sceptical, especially if Sony and Microsoft have some sort of contract already - I'm thinking of Sony's possible influence on the cancellation of Half-Life and Bleemcast. That said, I doubt the DC would be considered as a commercial threat ...

I've not tried the SE version yet but heres what to do with the discjuggler version of NesterDC 7.1. I've downloaded and uncompressed it to check and it seems to have uncompressed fine. If you're still getting uncompression errors maybe try an older version of stuffit expander or the mac's native un...

RadQuake with Quake for Mac

I just decided to see if RadQuake for DC works with the full Quake for Macintosh game and can report that it does indeed work. Here's an overview for any mac users who have the original version and want to try it on their DC. You need 2 CD-R's - one for RadQuake and one for the data. RadQuake uses a...

I've tried it on a few machines and it works in Jaguar, Panther & Tiger.

I'm sticking with Panther at the moment though. I think Tiger might slow my G4 down too much or cause probs. I had loads when I first upgraded to Panther and I'm not keen for a repeat performance.

I was hoping it would bring up a game or something. Nice touch though.

I don't think they're that rare. I've seen a few scattered around second hand and my version (which is in the same packaging) was bought cheap for about ?5 in one of them homeware clearout stores some years ago.

It sounds like the reset problem that a lot of DC seem to suffer from at some stage. Try cleaning/lightly pressing on the prongs inside. This seems to solve a lot of probs like this. Here's a guide with pics which helped me out when my DC started displaying a black screen. It's been OK since. http:/...

Gianas Return is a cool platform game and is pretty polished if that's what your after and the Drill demo is very proffessional too, although the site seems to be down at the moment.

Fair enough. You could probably get a second hand DC for roughly the same price as the game though. I think they go for around ?20 in Gamestation or maybe for less on ebay but I guess postage will bump that up.

If they don't make the new one more comfy to hold, they need a slap. If they do, I guess I'll settle with jealosy. I love my DS but the ergonomics are pants. The bottom corners always dig in to my hands too much. I agree about the original GBA, much better to hold. And I preferred the D-Pad to the c...

Have you tried a boot disc instead?

The CDX demo (disc juggler format - see link below) should load it, unless you're wanting to flog it anyway.

I've read somewhere that they changed the car handling in Sega GT compared to the Japanese version. I'm assuming they improved it? I've not played any version of the game so I don't know for sure.

I've not been on for long but I think that'd be a good idea. Out of all the numbers here, only 3 are recognised (yours being one of them).

I just watched the 1-1 level vid and it looks amazing. I love the way the trees moved/reacted to the explosions and heli flying over them. They wobble well. Credit to G.Rev for releasing this. PS. Segata, I tried to check out the Clandestine Studio site but there was nothing more than the logo etc. ...

Zoo Keeper is a pretty addictive puzzler. It's really simple, just line up 3 animals of the same to clear them and more fall in from above (it's like Bejewelled, if you've ever played that). It's good fun and my sister is addicted it. We just play to 6 minute time attack mode most of the time and ju...
