Re: CrabEmu 0.1.8 Released

Well, the first slowdown I noticed was in Sonic 1 (MS version) quite in the beginning of the 2nd stage of the greenhill zone (tested in 50Hz mode). The rest of the games I tested seemed to run fullspeed without problem. However when I run the emu in 60Hz mode almost every game I tried seemed to have...

Re: CrabEmu 0.1.8 Released

Great release  I tried it yesterday and I must say it runs great, however some games seem to have a little slowdown at random points. For the next release (if ther will be any) I hope you put in an option to resize the screen (I like to play fullscreen) and maybe with a filter or something. Al...

Re: SNES RPG/Strategy/Adventure games playable on Dreamcast

Thanks for the list  .

I still use my DreamSnes CD's every now and then, however I have the refresh rate set to 50Hz because I have a Pal DC and games seem to run a bit smoother for me. 8-)

CrabEmu 0.1.7 Released

BlueCrab released a new version of CrabEmu about a week ago :) This release contains far too many bug fixes and code cleanups to mention, but here's a selection of some of the bigger changes: * Modified sound output to remove branches from the code. * Fixed a Dreamcast GUI issue where CrabEmu would ...

This is great news :P
I hope somebody can implement a PAL / NTSC switcher for the European dudes among us 8-) , and perhaps in PAL 50 Hz mode the sound quality can be set a littlebit higher ( I mean drawing 50 FPS uses less CPU power than 60 FPS right ? ) just a thought .

Keep it up :headbang:

Hmmm that's strange...I use the 192Kb rom and it works great for me, only a very few games give me a "wrong TOS error" :?

Perhaps somebody can add proper Pal support. I mean have a 50Hz tv signal output. The current Pal feature in NesterDC SE is still 60Hz although the game speed is 50Hz and 50 frames per second are drawn, and thus is everything choppy in pal mode. Scherzo couldn't test this because his tv doesn't supp...

Does the cdbuilder also support subdirectories ? I have my roms split up in 4 or 5 subfolders. Or does the builder only support 1 single directory ?

Great work Scherzo :)

Nice one Scherzo. Finally something to look forward to 8-) I hope the Pal timing thingy worked out well.....anyway fantastic news ! :) PAL timing is a real tough problem for an NTSC Dreamcast. You've gotta display 50 frames within 60 frames. And they've gotta be as evenly distributed as possible. N...

If I remember correctly the mappings will be saved on the VMU along with the other settings, I don't think you change the mappings in the prefs file.

So this emu actualy runs fullspeed with sound. That's cool. I've never owned the system but the games look kind of amiga-isch so I definitly want to try this, now I only have to find myself some games :)
