I use the Performance Pak. I agree with nymus' comments about it. However, here are a few more comments: cons: Sometimes it is too powerful, and can get quite annoying. It would be nice if there were varying levels of vibration, depending on how hard or soft you get hit, etc. It does not cut off whe...

Which DivX player are you using on your PC? If you are using newer than 2.0 Alpha, then the DivX player will play anything (even files that are not DivX).

Try updating your DivX codec. I don't know if that will make a difference or not. Also, try downloading DivX player 2.0 Alpha (which will not play anything if it is not a DivX file). Try opening your videos in it first, to make sure that they actually encoded properly. If they did not, try re-encodi...

Yes, you burn it as a data CD. Just out of curiosity, why are you not including DCDivX on the same disc as your movies. Does DCDivX even support discswapping? DCDivX is such a small program, I don't understand why you don't just burn a new self-booting disc with all of your movies on it. Anyway, you...

Something else that no one has mentioned yet is OneThirty8's program. OneThirty8 created a program called DivX4SBI, which allows you to create a menu of your DivX files, with screenshots, that you can then play using DreamInducer. His link is in his sig.

When I was a newbie, I really appreciated it. I still do. Then again, I was basically a newbie to the whole world of emulation when I started using them on my DC. Also, I actually remember what it was like to play the NES and the SNES. Some of these games may not run fullspeed on the DC, but a lot o...

Also, I know this sounds really stupid, but have you checked to make sure that you are displaying the input and output video? There is a selection on the Options menu to display/not display input and output video. If you have that set on not displaying the video, you will hear the sound when you pla...

In addition, don't forget that DreamSNES is also an mp3 player. It works pretty well, too.

I agree with everything that has been said so far. I had no experience whatsoever when I began. I bought a Dreamcast when they first came out (reserved it months ahead of time). I played the games that I had bought for a long time. Then, I discovered the wonderful world of emulation and homebrew. It...

You do need to extract the files from the Zip archive in which you originally downloaded them. Then, you can put them in any directory you want. Then, just burn the disc as a normal data disc (it can even be a multisession disc, I believe). There is nothing special you have to do to burn a rom disc ...

Here is how to burn CDI images with DJ4. Open DiscJuggler. Click "File", then select "New". Choose "Burn CD and DVD Images". Then, click on the piece of paper with a CD in front of it, and find your CDI image. Do not change any of your default settings. Simply click &qu...

Race is not born. Race is imposed on us by sociologists. Race is a Sociological category created to fit people into nice little groups. Race does not actually exist except in the minds of people. If Judaism does not fit into your definition of a race, I am sorry. It can in fact be considered a race,...

Wait a second. There is only the IP.bin file? There is no 1st_read.bin file? There is your problem right there. There absolutely has to be a 1st_read.bin file on the CD. The IP.bin file is the one that the Dreamcast automatically looks for on a disc. It boots up the DC. The IP.bin file then refers t...

Are you using dummy files? Are you burning your discs at a reasonable speed? Sometimes if a disc has been burned too fast, or if it does not contain enough data on the CD, it will do what you are describing.

I agree with az_bont. It would be easier to simply download the plain files of DCDivX (with a scrambled bin) and use Selfboot (not to be confused with Selfboot Inducer) to create your disc. Then, the only menu you will see is the DCDivX menu.
