Spotlight hasn't been useful yet, but it is freakin' amazing, and simply put is worth the upgrade itself. Dashboard is really cool to play with but is only moderately useful. Automater will probably be the most interesting thing I use.

My goodness, you think this is a drop in price. Many of the things you mention here are upword 7 years old. Find a Pentium 2 that goes for above $100 and I will show you a G3 that goes for under $250. The funny thing is that people love G3 Clamshell iBooks; sure it isn't exactly something I would ru...

USB is usually the culprit. Some devices have pesky firmwares, Apple trys to incorporate them in nearly every update, and usually breaks compatibility at the same time. Needless to say the system interprets each problem differently.

Every graphics board is supported under OS X (yes somebody got a on 603 running OS X) however they do not have any optimized hardware acceleration (Quartz Extreme). RAM is the most important thing in OS X though; a G3 333 mhz iBook will run OS X fine if it has the max 786 megs of RAM.

No he is saving state, it only "Saves" if the game calls for it (like an RPG), not for other games (mario)

The manual explains this, either leave it on, or give it up

Download Gumby and then select Bin Chunker, drop the Nero (.nrg) file into the window and choose which mode (1 or 2) to convert it to. However, I have never got this to work (as I can't get it to mount and don't have my Dreamcast on me to waste a cd on).

Update to our Nero problems :D

Anyway, there is a OS X program that converts Nero Disc Image files (.nrg) to the common household iso. The problem is it apparently does not like multitrack and does not work on any DC files. However the author of the FREEWARE program is easy to get ahold of and I have sent links to NesterDC for co...
