You will have to get a Blue LED.

The ones at lsdiodes are by far the best IMO.

http://www.lsdiodes.com/5mm/

Get the blue 5MM from there. Open the DC and solder it in :D

I have a multispeed dremel.

I've used high and low speeds. Maybe some water will help a bit.

Cutting plastic with a dremel..

I always have the problem of it not really cutting the plastic, but just melting it. This smells weird, and can hurt me when the melted plastic comes off. lol

I am making one of the DC-NES mods and am cutting the NES insides.

Is there a dremel piece that will Cut the plastic, not melt it?

thanks!

What do you use for the clock piece?

I want to do this with my old DC case, but not sure how you guys did it. lol

maybe it's as easy as ripping a old clock apart and jamming it in?

Yea, that is my kind of test DC. So the window was my first time using my dremel.

Now the DC is just being used to see if I can get that glow effect. Then I am gonna do that to my good DC.

My blue glow around lid...

I've seen this image before at the top of DCumulation a bunch of times. it's a DC and the lid has a sweet glow comming out from it. I wanted to make this so I gave it a shot. Here is the work so far. Please ignore the crap window job on the lid. this is my mod testing DC. http://imagehost.midifox.co...

I bought one then returned it.

I can't stand them. They are so..so..crappy.

It's not good for percise jobs. Since you have to make sure the wire or whatever you are soldering is in between the 2 tabs.

I also have a switch for it on the opposite side. please ignore the crappy hot glue and such. That is my beat up/test DC. hehe. Works pretty good...I think.
