DCEvolution's CD Image of SmashDC?

Did DCEvo ever upload this? They've got a page talking about it and how their CD image includes a custom soundtrack among others, but no download link exists and I couldn't find it in their SourceForge repository. It doesn't appear to exist anywhere else. Indeed, who here is the recommended chap/cha...

Is it worth getting a Class 10 SDHC card for DC?

Hello again. Been taking advantage of quite a few discounts on Maplin and MemoryBits lately on memory cards and adaptors, and am thinking about replacing the Class 2 8GB MicroSDHC card I was originally using for DC goodness. I'm aware that the serial port means transfer speeds are significantly redu...

Is anyone doing a battery replacement service?

Being the fool I am, I've allowed my Dreamcast to keep asking me for the time and date each time I turn it on after a long period of not using it, and it's recently that I did some research and discovered it to be a battery problem. However, after further research it appears that replacing the Dream...

Re: Did I order a duff SD card reader?

Late I know, but it's not an issue anymore - I just had to get used to the fact that it doesn't 'click' into place! I guess I should've figured that out to begin with, what with this being a very 'hacky' way of implementing SD card support into a late 90's console. I'm not too sure if the alte...

Did I order a duff SD card reader?

Hello again folks. I recently bought one of those "new-fangled" (:P) SD card readers with the serial port for my wonderful Dreamcast from this site , seeing as it was the cheapest solution I could find (the Taobao one had hideous shipping prices for which I was not willing to part cash for...

Do NXDoom and/or Doom-for-DC support MAPINFO?

Being inspired by the recent Dreamcast wads thread, I wanted to see if I could get No Rest For The Living (from XBLA Doom II) up and running on my handy DC. :) The only issue is that it needs a handful of special handles (it's a Doom II PWAD that operates on 9 levels max) such as which music to play...

Re: Requesting a lost download if anyone has it....

They only have the CDI version though. I'm specifically after the "binary only" release. I could ask the Dreamcast.es folks but it looks as if they don't have any direct e-mail addys or even a simple contact form, and attempting to register to the purely spanish forum looks like a chore.

Requesting a lost download if anyone has it....

Does anyone have the "binary only" (NOT source or CDI) release of OpenTyrian? Preferably v0.2, but if you have v0.1 as well, then cool. This is the original thread on the Tyrian Fan Forums that gives you an idea of the filenames at least. Googling "openTyrian02bin.zip" literally ...

Has anyone been able to get Neo4All working under nullDC?

I'm currently without a working DC at the moment but I'm continuing to make a few discs for myself for the time being. I made a Neo4All standalone CD with Twinkle Star Sprites on it and I wanted to check if I had positioned all the CDDA tracks in the correct spots, so I ripped it back to a CDI with ...

How well does a VGA-to-HDMI conversion work on DC?

I just learnt that you can apparently get yourself a converter cable to output VGA through an HDMI port in case you have a TV with no VGA port included. I'm beginning to think they'd be easier to connect and deal with than a direct VGA to VGA connection as it means not having to deal with the diffic...

I think my Dreamcast is starting to be on its way out. :-(

I've been the proud owner of an European PAL Dreamcast since I got it brand-new as a Christmas present in 2000. It's stuck with me over the years, being able to run just about anything I chuck at it (that's compatbile of course =P) without much of a problem. My only fear back then was the disc laser...

RAW and REminiscence ported to the Saturn

Not sure if anyone was aware of this, but sometime last year some top code-wiz ported the interpreters for Another World and Flashback to that other glorious Sega console of yesteryear - the good ol' Saturn. :D http://hkzlab.ipv7.net/consoles.html Tested both out and they work surprisingly well. So ...

What happened to Storm-Studios.net?

It seems to act more like a DC-unrelated company site now. OneThirty8's content seems to be all gone too.

Am I misunderstanding something here?

Re: Is the Dreamcast SCART cable compatible with HDTVs?

That cable looks like a regular Dreamcast RGB-SCART cable. Anyway, I am not going to speculate for the reasons as to why it won't work properly, as even if it would the result would be far from perfect. What you need to hook up a Dreamcast to an HDTV is a Dreamcast VGA adapter which will enable Dre...

That only covers the PD roms provided, though. No snaps for commercial titles.

Is the Dreamcast SCART cable compatible with HDTVs?

I ask because I'm not sure whether I have a case of "my HDTV(s) is/are shite" , or "I bought what I thought was an official SCART cable but which is actually a dodgy knock-off" . Case in point - I recently purchased an official SCART cable off this guy on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co...

Re: Screamcast archival?

Speaking of Screamcast, they seemed to be the only place where you could download the 27/01/07 version of GPDC-Q (named "gpdcq-012707.zip", as seen here). Only problem is that Archive didn't preserve said download. Tch. Anyone still have it backed up somewhere?
