I did mine. Fat-X only supports up to 137 GB, anything over gets unused. So you can use whatever size you want. I've got an 80 GB in mine. Try this at your own risk: 1st, you install your modchip, a new bios, and a new dashboard. You must have all three of these before you upgrade your HD. Once the ...

I use a similar setup for my home dvd player. I was sick of how format limited some of the stand alone DVD players are, so I created my own for $200, and it can play any format I throw at it.

So, if I download a selfboot image of a bootdisk, like the Utopia one, burn it with Nero, burn it with Disk Juggler, and neither work, would it be wise to try a friend's cdrw drive instead? I would. You may need to update you're drive's firmware if it doesn't. Unfortunatley these DVD burners don't ...

I have a pioneer A04 and it burns most self boot discs.

The only problem that I have had are with Disc Juggler cd images that contain more than 2 audio tracks. Then enitre drive crashes if I try to write one of those. Anything like that I have to burn on my CD-RW at work.

Wireless Controller...?

Did anyone release a wireless controller for the dreamcast?

If not, I'm thinking about getting one of those Total Control ports from Lik Sang and hooking up a wireless playstation contoller to it....Anyone know if this will work?

It definitley possible. I would tear it part and see how everything fits. You may have to homebrew some adapters and special case mod to hold all of the lose hardware. You will probably have a hard time making it pretty and compact, and be carefult taking it through the airport...

Does anyone know where I can get detailed schematics for the DC and maybe the VMU? I think I'm going to focus on the GD Rom first. The thing is annoying. It makes it very difficult to play "stealth" games when my wife is around. I'll admit the RAM was just a pipe dream. I knew it would hav...

That's fantastic. POS. I wonder if baysoftgames will give me my money back. Let us know how the Lik-Sang converter does. I guess I get to take my bad boy back to the TV for now.

Some Mod Ideas

I know this is the height of hubris, and I know some of these have been discussed before without results, but I think I can do them (or kill several DC's trying): Replace GD-Rom with commercial CD-ROM or high speed arcade GD-ROM (this would probably require a brand new case) or determine methods to ...

DC NAKI VGA Adapter Problems...

Hey fellas, long time lurker. I just picked up a NAKI VGA converter for my DC (I was tired of going up and down stairs to my TV to test out my development stuff - it interupts the creative process). I've got a relatively new (2 years old), and relatively cheap dell flat screen (not flat panel). When...
