I'm sure it's doable, but I doubt Sega will release the software since it is the basis of their new online system, SNAP.

I don't have a copy NBA2K1 to test. We know that NBA2K2 still lets you on. Sounds like maybe it's offline.

Speed Devils Online says SEGANET servers in the online server list, but I believe GAMELOFT does a redirect to the UBISoft servers. That's just an uneducated guess.
