Thanks guys, I'll look into it. I also noticed a thread below where some guy made a game with Fenix. Maybe that's even simpler. Wraggster: out of the box, they would for sure not work. GCompris is in fact written in C or C++ and depends on GTK I thought. Childsplay is in Python, but you also need Py...

Hmm, 2 years ago or so I had set up the DC DevKit once. But I didn't pursue it because testing the programs on the DC was such a hassle having no coders cable or BBA. But for simple games maybe I could do it first on PC, try in DC emulator and then burn to cd to test on DC. Other problem: my C, and ...

Childrens games for DC

Hi all, I got recently involved in http://childsplay.sourceforge.net/ . These are simple games for children just beginning to use a computer. A similar package is http://gcompris.net/ . They are for children of age 3 tot 10. Now playing on a console is more fun than on a pc. Now I was looking into a...

Bad colours and no sound

So I tried my DC again, but I'm afraid I left it gathering dust for far too long. It starts up correctly, plays games correct, but: - the startup screen is more yellow than white. - no sound. So any ideas? Is it some connection in the DC that I should check or could it be the AV cable (PAL DC, scart...

I downloaded the program just before I burned the CD, so I think I have the latest version.

I'll try again and write down what I did.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Problems with Inducer

Hi guys, I downloaded Inducer(selfboot) and several emus and other games. I had to do some things that were not according to the manual included. (Paths were different and such stuff) But finally I could make an Nero image and burn it. However when I start the CD now, it only loads ColecoVision (or ...

Thanks for the quick reply :D 1) I don't understand what you're saying. I meant to ask if I could replace the implementation of the KOS libraries. KOS comes as some header files and the implementation of them (right?), can I update those? 2) What do I need to do to be able to run it on PC? Not conta...

A few beginners questions about KOS

Hi all, I downloaded that Visual Studio environment from ThePernProject. Got some questions though: 1) It seems it uses an older version of KOS, does anybody know how to update it? Does anybody fancy to update the download perhaps? Should I start directly with 1.1.9 or try first on 1.1.8? I've read ...

Somebody wrote he replaced the header files and the bin files, but I don't know in that installation what is KOS and what are the other utilities.... Also how does that DC Menu work when you want to try your code? Very newbie questions I know,...

Also, could anyone with a bit of programming experience comment on how easily it could be integrated into something like To-11? That's why I was asking. But I thought that if I asked it directly like that several people would be all over me asking when this would be ready. I've done some simple thi...

How to do visualisations on music?

Does anybody know how you do the visualisations like you see in Winamp (Geiss mainly)?
I'm not interested (yet!) in how to program them, but what are the algorithmes behind them?

Can anybody point me someplace where these things are disussed maybe?

Thanks a lot.
