I've decided to delete my linux partition for now. Last time I used mandrake it worked. Then I messed it up and reinstalled and it didn't. If anyone knows any other distro I could use or anything like that let me know.

I just did the knoppix hdinstall. I'm trying to set up my Avance Logic ALS4000 using ALSA. I followed the guide to install it but when I get to the part where you do alsamixer I can't get that to work.
