Document viewer

I was wondering is there a good app out there for viewing html/txt documents (from CD)? I Psilocybin Dreams seems good, but none of the browsers seem to support disk swapping and my attempts to add my own html documents to a disk and reburn as a selfbooting image have failed. Anyone got any ideas?

No, I don't already ahve sh-elf-gcc installed. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out now. I'm using gcc 3.3 to match Marcus Comstedt's build environment - I want to recompile scummvm dc with MAD support.

OK, the problem is that the compile doesn't finish. Here's the first nasty error from the log: In file included from embed-bb.c:40: ../../gcc-3.3/gcc/tsystem.h:72:19: stdio.h: No such file or directory ../../gcc-3.3/gcc/tsystem.h:75:23: sys/types.h: No such file or directory ../../gcc-3.3/gcc/tsyste...

How do I set up sh-elf-g++?

I'm trying to get a working DC buildchain. I've used Stalin's build script, and now have gcc cross compiled for sh and arm. However, I need sh-elf-g++. What do I need to do to compile this?

Thankyou

I don't believe it will work at the moment, the DC porter does not own Simon the Sorceror. I think he did recently get the demo working though. Maybe you can buy it, if it works great and if not donate it to the DC porter? :)

Is it possible to burn a .cdi in Linux? If I used cdirip under linux, how would I burn the iso to make sure it stayed selfboot?

I'd order, aside from the shipping price to UK. Any chance of finding a UK store to sell this, that would take shipping right down.

Rand: Someone may have leaked a beta, but you seem to have some pretty amazing protection on your final Bleemcast's. Nice work there whatever it is :) I hope feet of fury can use something similar.

Well, won't that just come out as reams of uncommented asm. Aside from the fact it's illegal, I don't think anybody could improve it usefully, at least not without a lot of time.

DC broadband modem would obviously work well, but it's expensive and hard to find.

I think it might be easier to work on data transfer using the DC modem.

I guess maybe you should write a GBA emu then, or PAY someone to do it for you, as it looks like that's the only way you're going to get one at the moment.

I can assure you, paying someone to code a GBA emulator is significantly more than the price of 2-3 GBA games.

Yeah, once my CT went really bad and the textures didn't seem to be loading properly. I thought my Dreamcast was dying, but thankfully it seemed to fix itself (I guess it was the lens, I heard they sort of clean themselves most of the time because of all the air going around in there).

This is sort of a long shot, but is there any chance this browser can work through the serial cable (and through my PC obviously)?

Bleem was coded in asm (I think a fair portion of dreamsnes is in asm, or they're rewriting parts in it). Also, Bleem was coded with multiple people working on it full time, and is only fully conpatiable with a few games. I guess it may not take TOO much work to make a single game DreamSnes of super...
