Re: SOVIETBORGS by Retro Sumus (Xenocider devs)
Thanks for sharing the process with us. It's amazing how much pop a red strip can add. I don't think I've ever stopped to appreciate the Genesis packaging before or maybe it's just how it compliments your red and white artwork... I really like the second cover as well. I've never been a fan of cover...

Re: Segagaga translation in the works
After decades of seeing only screenshots, I was blown away to hear the game had voice acting. Seeing the mishmash art work compiled into this game was fascinating, but at the same time it illustrates this game getting released even in Japan was a miracle. I know Tetsu Okano said, the game had extrem...

Calavera, I just wanted to say that your rather depressing posts are a source of motivation to finally translate this beast! Check out the progress here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQcIeNPGnFo&lc=Ugy1LRAHiIJlhiqIPEp4AaABAg I've finished Chapter 2 and will be working through Chapter 3 in th...

Re: Happy 25th Birthday Dreamcast
^ All valid observations. I don't know how they continue to find an audience. I just know there is a huge Sonic fan game/modding community. Sonic Adventure 1 got patches upon patches for PC. I even saw SA2 levels being ported to SA1 (a greatly different gameplay experience. Sonic 06 is another game,...

Re: How has everyone been
It is funny, that the greatest years of my childhood were spent hacking my Dreamcast so many years ago. I learned most of it, right here. Most of my postings were lost when the group switched to PHPBB from its old CGI based boards, but I still did post some here after. It is fun reading those old p...

That's cool. You should reach out to Goat Store and do a limited Goat Store Publishing run before MGC.

Re: Happy 25th Birthday Dreamcast
When I was a kid I used to try and get all the A-level emblems in Sonic Adventure for hours but I could never figure out how to clear some of the later Sonic stages on time. Not too long ago I was watching a speedrun and the tricks the runner was using to clear levels were so impressive I wanted to...

Solid 16-bit effort.
Will the Dreamcast version be identical?

Makes me feel worse than I don't care about 9/9/99 anymroe. Sometimes, I even regret spending so much time here and have no money to show for it. This is a mad rant, but people here had mad skills and it is a shame we couldn't monetize them. I've learned so many skills and made so many friends alon...

Eloquently said.
As an end user, I feel the problem is more signing up to a different ecosystem.

Re: 2024 politics thread (why not)
Well for this year, whoever wins we lose. 2016 - I was Jill Stein - heard all the options she sounded best to me. I was shamed for it and brain washed to subscribing to the idea that you vote someone out rather than the right person in. During the primaries I voted Bernie and 2020 - I voted Joe Bide...

Re: Hotmail vs Gmail
Congrats on reading 1984. It is a depressing book, and I enjoyed it for the most part but.... the part where Winston was just reading a book to Julia was a little boring and ngl I skipped a few paragraphs and maybe a page or two. But as a whole I've enjoyed it. I agree. That part of the book was a ...

Are message boards dying?
I just thought this warranted it's own thread. Are message boards dying? I don't think it has much to do with generations. Message boards are just a dying platform in general. Social media platforms and Discord have taken their place. Ironically, message boards are far better for archiving and searc...

Re: Hotmail vs Gmail
So fun fact, I had a Yahoo as well. I would log in to it every other year or so.
I logged into it in 2022 and had to reset the login and lost all my emails from the early 00s.
It is nice to hear Hotmail/MSN does not do purge the accounts due to extended inactivity.
