Recently I've got a new client who's notebook stopped charging. It's a typical client request and I run these down from time to time. My process is as follows;a.Wiggle the male connector to see if connection comes and goes, (charge led comes on and off.) if yes re-solder the socket to main board. if...

Emma Stone

Is a fucking FOX in "Superbad". Honestly though, her voice is a little deeper than usual but it isn't annoying. Great movie though, I watched it last night.

"Computer" shows non-existent CD-ROM drive?

Can someone please help me with this? (bear with me for all the Linux support posts) I remember that after I added the line "all_generic_ide" to my menu.lst for GRUB, a non existent cd drive then appeared in "Computer". I am very unsure as to how I tell Ubuntu that this drive doesn't exist and to ig...

I came across a bug that appears serious.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/59695 Take a look at it, it appears that no matter what distro you are on linux could be destroying your HDD. I did the workarounds but I'm still pretty worried about it. Someone else try the check on their system and let me know if your lo...

GNOME in Ubuntu Question.

Does anyone know how to disable the window snapping to either left, right, top, or bottom? I like how the system appears with "Extra" graphic effects enabled, but how it sticks to the sides is becoming anoying. I can't seem to find out where I disable the option to make windows snap to the sides.

Re: Whats a good Linux distro to start out with?

I'm a beginner linux user and I decided to go with Ubuntu because it was pretty much the most downloaded distro (http://distrowatch.org) other than SuSe. Which i used before but didn't like because I couldn't get sound working. When I was first installing ubuntu it was very difficult to configure. (...

And if there are mounting issues then you best bet would be to go buy a cheap external enclosure. I've got a DYNEX USB 2.0 one for $15.

Heh that isn't really lame of you to do man. I've gotten drunk and just fucked around on my AIM in the past. I've even had this one dude that always IMed me "Dude I'm so coked out right now". salvia divinorum

Has anyone else been taken aboard this god awful ship before? The truly amazing thing about this drug is that it's completely legal and can be purchased OTC at the age of 18. I had heard several trip reports from a whole slew of random druggies whom I thought were entirely full of shit. In spite of ...

most people that think they are missing anything or can't find anything are simply idiots. For general-purpose stuff I agree, but you'd be surprised how many specialized apps are out there that people depend on or otherwise don't want to give up. My point exactly, as a video/graphic manipulation en...
