It still has the pause bug
For example:
In Pulstar, if you charge the laser (pressing and holding fire button) the game pauses. If you fire normally after this, the pause mode goes on and off, making it impossible to play.

DC can't read GD-ROMs anymore, but reads CD-ROMs ????
My DC has recently developed problems reading original GDs. The games boot up, but after a while of playing the DC has problems in reading from the GD-ROM. The laser pickup moves constantly and tries to focus but with no success. Then either an error msg. appears ("Can't read GD-ROM") or t...

I picked the games for screenshots based on that topic a while ago where people were saying their favorite games, so i put salamader there too cause of you =P. Did you tried 1941: Counter Attack yet? It is supposed to be for the Super Graphix (it just checks if the Super Graphix is there, but doesn...

Just to be precise it doesnt actually emulate the TG16/PCE (as far as I can tell) what it emulates is the SuperGraphx, which was the upgraded version of it, as well as the 3 CD systems that were availible as addons. I better get to sleep hehe. That would be even greater !!! :o Then we could play 19...

OK, I should have been more precise on this: Most homebrew / emus have an option to exit, but it depends to WHERE they exit. Some exit to the DC's bios menu, but most exit to a black screen requiring a reset. I think this is the exit to dcload, but if booted from CD it gives a black screen. Also con...

Exit to DemoMenu (or calling app in general) option
Because most of us use DemoMenu or similar menu systems to put many homebrew and/or emus on 1 CD, it would be nice to have an option to exit from the emu to the menu application. Then we don't have to reboot our DCs each time we want to switch to another emu/homebrew. A few emus already do this (don...

Sadlly enough, you can't. Dream Inducer wasn't updated to have a 'back to menu' command. DemoMenu stays in the DC's memory and a few emulators can quit back to DemoMenu. I suggest that the coders of homebrew games/emus include an option to quit to the calling application instead of quitting to the ...

I'm SOL for making a release tonight. I just screwed up my last 3 blank CDRs. I don't know wtf is wrong. None of my tests for the release booted when on CD. Why don't you release the plain files (scrambled bin)? You could use Demomenu to easily test binaries on the DC. It even supports multi-sessio...

Yes, for all of you who don't read the programming forum or just don't have a reason to, I have begun writing the CPU core in sh4 assembly. It's a SLOW process for many reasons. First, I have to triple check everything I do in order to avoid bugs. Finding a bug in C/C++ with only printf as your too...

Finally I got some spare time and burned another fMSXDC disc, using Joliet extensions and restringing the names to 10 + .rom/.dsk characters, and... IT WORKED!!! Thanks again Cygnus. fMSXDC is a great emulator. Most games run fullspeed. I had only trouble with some games (like xevious), maybe I sho...

From the manual: Making the Disk 1) Put IP.BIN and 1s_read.bin from the zip file on the root folder of the cd. 2) Put MSX bios roms on the root folder also. 3) Put game roms on a folder called roms. 4) Put msx disks on a folder called disk. 5) Burn it. 6) Use the boot disk. Thats exactly what I did....

Re: DreamMSX or fMSX?
Also I'd like to see opinions about both emulators in this thread. Thanks for reading! I tried them and came to the conclusion that you need both, DreamMSX(MAE) and fMSX. Some games run only on one of them. MSX2 Disk images seem to run on DreamMSX(MAE) but not on fMSX. fMSX uses different directori...

Big Problem with (at least) 1943 !!! :( When starting this formidable shooter, the picture is reversed. No problem, I thought. Simply enter the DIP switch menu and flip the screen. It works, BUT (there's always a butt): When the first battleships come up, they move from the downside to the top (inst...
