yeah, basically what had happened was the superglue had gotten down onto the plate below the switch and set on it. from what i could figure out this plate reacts with the spring which when part of the spring is pressed down on it the two metals conduct some kind of message to the dc to start the dc ...

ok, well if anyone cares, i got it back to it's old state. so it works good enough for me! lol so yeah, it now has the blu tack back on the lid switch and boots fine. i would rather have this than nothing. i basically fiddled with spring in the switch adjusting it so it ws back to whatever shape it ...
