It's kinda embarassing... I double clicked on a ISO of a DVD and thought to open DVD player just to see what happened, and it treated the virtual disk drive as if it was an actual DVD, so, I guess that's pretty much what I was looking for :P

Mounting ISOs as a disc without Toast

I know that Mac OSX allows you to mount ISOs disc image files as virtual disk drives, but all you can do is look at the files; it won't behave like the disc it's a copy of. In Toast, you can mount an image file as if an actual disc had been inserted. This is a big deal because I can make ISOs of DVD...

I also like 10.3 over 10.2. The feel of it seems more polished and things like networking seem easier to do with 10.3.

If you have a modified xbox, use DVD-Region X v2 to play the discs (I have UK DVDs and they all play just fine on my NTSC tv).

If I see a flash movie I like, I look at the page's source code and search for ".swf" and that'll usually help me look for a file name (sometimes even a full URL) for the flash movie file. If all it gives is the directory and/or file name, you'll have to do some trial and error to see if y...

All of my copy-control CDs (mainly Japanese releases like Ayumi Hamasaki and hitomi CDs) copy just fine in iTunes, but I'm on a Mac, so maybe that makes it easy since most copy-control mechanisms are designed with Windows in mind.

It's not like you can't buy games at Walmart... so mergers are hardly an issue. If all you're interested in are new, current, popular games, then that's ok. But anything outside of that (i.e. used games, older games, or a decent peripheral selection) and you either have to go online or to another s...

I've seen the 1920's movie Reefer Madness. It was ok, but I don't think I'd want to see a musical based on it.

Need recommendation for remote for my computer

I'm looking for a remote that I can hook up to a PC (windows or mac) that I can use to control different programs (like a DVD player or power point). I found this at the apple store: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/71908/wo/52DFmfjsx7tS2D8SSjl1SKxV7EL/1.0.11.1.0.6.12....

Must've been the default date when the forum was reset (or something like that) about a year or two ago.

As for bumping this in general, I think it's because Vodooo asked about it in this post
( http://www.dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=64905 ).
