Sonic Adventure V 1.004

Post by Aleron Ives »

I was a bit concerned when my Sonic Adventure checksums didn't match those in the database, but then I noticed that TOSEC only lists 1.002 (limited edition) and 1.005, while I seem to have 1.004. I don't know what might be different between the revisions to make the checksums differ, but here's the data from my dump:

httpd-ack info:

Has anyone else seen this disc before?

I had heard that there might be another Sonic Adventure disc out there, but I thought we got all of them.

I don't have this disc or any info on it myself, hopefully Maddog sees this and lets us know if he has any info on it.

Upon further searching, I found this topic and this topic referencing the other disc.

Supposedly v1.004 is the regular version of Sonic Adventure and v1.005 is the All-Stars version.

Your two data tracks match the other dumps, but your audio track does not. Apparently we don't have a matching ringcode variant for that version yet.

So we can't officially match a disc with your info, but we can pretty much conclude that your dump is fine.

If 1.004 is the "regular" version, then I'm surprised it isn't in the database yet. I wonder what 1.003 is. :P

I was also surprised to see that none of the Planet Web browsers are included in TOSEC yet. I can provide data for the four variants I have, if that would be useful.

All of the PlanetWeb browsers are included in TOSEC. They're under the Applications section, not the Games\NTSC-U section.

After many years, the time has come for the Sonic Adventure variant listed here to be verified.
It matched my own dump and will appear in the next dats. Thanks!!! :D
