darcagn wrote:You do still have to hack LBAs in order to boot from the boot disc.
What LBA do I input in binhack then? Is it just 0 for non-selfboot games?

Thanks.

Do you leave all files as is without hacking if you just want to make a disc that only works with the boot disc i.e no LBA hacking?

I know games requiring the boot disc need the IP.BIN on disc also.

Well, dahack did the trick and now the music plays perfectly fine in KOF99DM :)

I used the intro from the US version of KOF99DM but its different from the JP version.

What is the best method to downsample a SFD movie file?

I found another tool, dahack which I'll give a try. The readme that comes with it states that you should use cdda.exe first, then dahack.exe then binhack.exe. With dahack you need to input the 1st_read.bin and then the second session LBA. If that doesn't work then I don't know what will. Its just on...

I didn't use 3 blank tracks. I would of figured out that this is the cause because all of the tracks would of played wrong but the music that does play is the correct music so the tracks are in the proper order but not all of them play which I find to be quite strange. Meanwhile I've succesfully sel...

Ok, I just made another selfboot of KOF99DM. Most tracks play just fine but some don't for some reason even though the sound files are fine

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Also managed to get VF3TB's movies working by using hack3 and the LBA value of 11702 :)

I just made a selfboot copy of KOF99DM but the CDDA doesn't play. I did use cdda.exe on the 1st_read.bin.

Have I missed something?

I followed Echelons CDDA selfboot tutorial exactly.

This is quite peculiar. According to all of the entries for VF3TB on El Bucanero's RipDB, there isn't any special thing to do. 2 of them say that no downsampling is required, while one says that downsampling is required to fit the game on a CD-R. I am not familiar with VF3TB, is it possible that th...

Try using -3 instead of -0. As for the cuesheet, by "only sees the first data track contents" do you mean that CDmage only sees track01? I just tried -3 and the DC still goes to the BIOS screen after trying to play the History movie. For the cuesheet, yeah I meant track03 but I have now m...

Yeah, I used a sorttxt for VF3TB :) I just used hack4 on VF3TB with the command " hack4 -n -0 -w *.bin " and then selfboot it and the History movie still doesn't play. In the prompt the 1st_read.bin and movie.bin were cracked only but I don't understand why it still doesn't work. As for a ...

Just realised the History movie doesn't play in my selfboot copy of VF3TB. Do I need to hack the MOVIE.BIN? What hack and command do I need to run on it? Also, what is the difference between hack3 and hack4 binaries? What does hack3 do? Thanks! PS: Yeah, I'm also having trouble ripping the data file...

Just a question on the CDDA RAW audio files. Do they need any kind of conversion?

Thanks! :)

I just managed to selfboot Virtua Fighter 3 TB (JP). I used a CD-RW disc and Chankast for verification and it works just fine!

Next I'm going to try King of Fighters '99 Dream Match (JP).
