360 hacked?
Hey all,
I have spotty internet while I'm moving, and I'm working around the clock. If anybody could post a link, or the follow info that would be amazing:
- When did this happen?
- What homebrew is being developed?
- What is required to do this? (my 360 has its DVD firmware flashed)
- Anything seem worth it to break XBL?
Thanks all! Catch you later when I'm back from work! (Assuming I can steal internet from the cafe across the street).

Re: 360 hacked?
I'm not sure how long ago they announced it, but right now nothing is released. However, if you are interested absolutely do not update your Xbox to the newest firmware. The new firmware completely patches the exploit they were using to boot the software, so if you upgraded, you're pretty much SOL right now.

Re: 360 hacked?
Apparently, Team Free60 is coming out with some sort of new software for an exploit they found. So far, there's a running SNES emulator and XBMC 360 is in the works.
It looks promising, so I really wouldn't update.

They were a little late in announcing it. Would've been nicer to know a FEW MONTHS BEFORE the new release.mrandyk wrote:Son of a bitch. Of course I hear about this after I update.

Re: 360 hacked?
I have been keeping an eye on this. I am excited about 360 finally getting hacked. When this stuff becomes a lot more simple and there are more programs out for it i'll pick up another 360 to mod. I couldn't care less about most emulation though as I have played everything really into the ground using dreamcast/pc/xbox1. What I am really excited about is xbmc 360 so i can finally watch my HD MKV files on my tv. Though if we saw some emulators that are post ps1/n64 I would be interested.

Re: 360 hacked?
I had forgotten that I never updated my Elite, so I'll keep it around and mod that. Hopefully this will be the generation to emulate PSX and N64 fully.

Re: 360 hacked?
If you have a fast-enough PC and a newer HDTV, I'd just recommend plugging your PC into your TV and using it to watch HD videos and using emulators. This is also assuming you have a laptop or your PC is close enough to your TV. If I had a wireless mouse and keyboard and/or controller, I'd probably use my PC for everything, while connected to my TV.
Nico, you said your HDTV doesn't have VGA input, have you tried a VGA to HDMI converter box?
