I imagine it will work, Im not really sure how to check. I have two game gears. I will sell whichever one is compatible with the TV tuner. If you have the info for me to check compatibility give me a link. I cant get the the gamegears until tomorrow night since I am at my brothers new apartment right now, helping him move.

Rule of thumb is that if the serial number starts with a letter, it won't work and that if it starts with a number then it will work.

Well agentgreen, we might be out of luck. Both of my game gear units start in a letter. Although, one of the serial number stickers say sega of america on it, while the other one does not. Maybe the sega of america one will work? I dont know. Let me know if you want pictures of the serial stickers so you can see the difference.
