nxmaqu
I have two questions for this engine when i load it gives me a Draw_CachePic:failed to load gfx/box_tl.lmp error also i followed a link to nxmaqu however when i recived it was called maqu 1.2 are they basically the same thing or is maqu the PC version?

First, nxMakaqu requires a copy of Quake to run. That's where the error message comes from. You have to have the Quake PAK files in the right place on the disc.
Secondly, Makaqu is the PC version, and nxMakaqu is the Dreamcast version. The name is a combination of Makaqu, and an earlier Dreamcast port of Quake called nxQuake.

oh kay that makes sense but here is where i stopped again should i get quake 1 or 3
also so if i was to develop it for the dreamcast it would be considered nxMaqu so thier basically the same thing
