I finally found a high-speed connection

Post by Calavera »

It's called Oinc Wireless and they have some pretty good prices I think.

768K Download 256K Upload 29.99
1.5MB Download 512K Upload 44.99
5MB Download 768K Upload 69.99

We're probably just gettin the cheapest for now, but as soon as me or my brother get a job we'll probably bump up to the 5MB. 8-)

Not bad, especially if there are no download limits, and it's also got a decent upload speed.

I am currently enjoying my new 8MB connection.

That website doesn't exactly look professional, especially with that google search thing at the bottom of the page.

Good luck with your new ISP.

Wow, and i thought i was being ripped off over here in Ireland O_o.
Im getting 2MB's down and 256K up for like €30.

Sure the is a cap, but they never enforce it as i've went over the cap lots of times and so has many others.

Where do you live anyways?.

Never mind, after looking at the page i see they are the only high speed provider in your area.

In that case its not a bad deal.

And ye guys with ya 7mb/s and up etc make me so jealous :( .

Back when I was on a combination of unstable dial up and GPRS then it would have been both cheaper and quicker for me to drive over and leech from you! Now with 8MB ADSL there isn't much point.

I'll be getting my own fiber line after I get parts for my half-size rack. The house line is 15/2, mine will be 15/5. I fucking love FiOS.

IF you live in a small town like me its kinda hard to get a good deal on broadband. Like where I am at I can't get DSL because im too far out. I am lucky to be able to get Cable so its either Cable or overpriced Satelite internet. Mine isn't too bad though. ITs 1.5 down and its either 256 or 512 up for $40 a month. IT used to be a lot slower but since DSL is available in town now they had to try and compete a little bit. Only problem I have is it does go down more then I'd like. Every once i awhile it craps out for about 2 or 3 minutes.
