Is there some sort of trick to being able to download stuff over there?
Every download I click on says I'm Forbidden. I've tried registerring for an account over there twice now but I never got a follow up email.
Is there any over there running this site?

Ha! However made that LavaLit account doesn't even know that the word "mod" is short for "modification".

That's a loooong story... When BoRGeneration.com opened, BoRRev still was alive and kicking, but it didn't took long until some Anti-USA/Anti-Israel fascists hacked the server. After a while, Kirby2000 managed to fix the site and to restore the forums but no one seemed to be able to fix the control panel... Anyway, now it's back again.
