There is a demo out now, it is very impressive. In fact it is even more impressive that it is a fanmade project. Anyways if your into that stuff you should check it out:

Yea me 2, sounds like we have a long time to wait. Wouldn't be surprised when they getting close to finishing if vivindei pulls the plug. They was ready to do the same to kq9, but I guess so many fans spammed them with hate letters they changed their minds.

Anyone know if SQ6 is freeware

? I think its 6... Which is the one where the crew gets turned into lemon sorbet?

That's the SQ6 demo. That's freeware, but it has nothing to do with the plot of the real SQ6, which is not freeware.

If you do find the SQ6 demo, post the link. I haven't played that in probably 12 or 13 years.

Nine isn't out yet, probably 7. Seven was the one with disney looking charactors. Sadly the last couple of Kings Quest games was pretty subpar. Kings quest 6 was a great game, and it really looks like Kings Quest 9 is building off Kings Quest 6.

I don't think any of the Kings Quest or Space Quest games are abandonware. Actually It hink there is a new collection either coming out or that is out that basically has every Space Quest or Every Kings Quest game ever made. Think they sell for like $20. Supposedly Amazon.com sells it. Yea here is the link:
