yeah there was a list floating around somewhere for the 50 game version. they make a 30 game (1.5 inch screen) a 50 game (2in screen) and a 75 game(2.5 in screen) i have a gif card for walmart, im hoping they will get em eventually and i will use that to pick on up, it would be perfect for work i can play it under my desk and no one will know. im really interested in how it would play, and how small it really is

That thread has some decent information and most people believe it's a NOAC machine.

nice thread fine zy... but im reallyempted to pick one up.. i want the max, just cause it has s omany games.. too bad i dont know crap about modding or programming or id try to throw nes games and what not on it.. so who knows how to do that for me
there are pictures and everything on that thread!!
ok i keep wanting to edit my post because i keep reading more of this thread you found. someones taking theirs apart and stuff.. mmm i want one...MODDED!I bought the VG Pocket Max (75 games) today for $40 from RadioShack.
The hardware on this is surprisingly good, but the games let it down badly. It's like a mini NES, but with one thing missing - good games. The problem with the hardware is that the directional pad is a bit clumsy. Not ideal, but useable. The speaker also emits an annoying buzzing sound that is not apparent while music is playing - probably because the NES square-wave sound FX drown out the buzzing.
There are no real standout games and it seems like a bunch were quickly thrown together to bring this to production. Most of the racing and shooting games are a different face on the same games, with small differences here and there. It's not that they aren't different from each other - they are, but just not enough to be believable.
As-is, it's a pretty solid little unit that could have been much, much better if different or better games were selected. Even a few old-school Space Invaders/Galaxian/Pac Man clones would have made this a much better deal.
It might be worth picking up the VG Pocket (30 games) from Wal*Mart for $20, but $40 on the 75-game version is not worth it. The games are just not good enough.
Hopefully someone will hack it and allow us all to add new/different games

I got one of those at a local save-a-lot. Talk about a piece of crap. Claims to have 2600 games but it is actually 26 games with 100 levels of speed. It was only $1 though. MAybe I should put it on ebay as a rare no longer produced handheld game lol.ASCIIN wrote:its probrally like those ones with 50 types of block games..
