Save file hacking

Post by tmcw »

I'm wondering if it's possible to alter a save file for MSR that has been saved using 60Hz mode, so that it will become 50Hz mode.

Yeah, before you get into the game (PAL version) you have to select your Hz (50/60), and if you select 50, you can't open files that have been saved at 60Hz, and vice versa.

I'm guessing it's something to do with times/timing and records, rather than a technical issue with code, so hoping that the save files can be easily converted between the two Hz.

Has anyone tried this? I'm using a nice big old TV for DC that won't do 60Hz, so I'm hoping I don't have to go through the 25 chapters to open free roam to play on the old TV.
