Sailor Moon
It would be great if some one made a mod of Sailor Moon. Specially using the sprites from the arcade version. Don't you think?

I've planned on making an original story for this release but I will stay very close to what Sailor Moon fans are used too. I'm probably going to follow the story of Sailor Moon: Another Story from the SNES version. Mainly though, this is simply my attempt to bring back the legacy of Sailor Moon, hence the name "Destiny Revival." I have another, ultra-secret mod in the works and when you guys see it, you'll flip. I got a hint for ya tho. He's thinking...

Well I'll be using the SNES music since this is pretty much a SNES remake. I would like to bring back some of the levels from the genesis version but I don't really have a good emulator to rip backgrounds from. I'm forecasting that I will finish Sailor Moon about middle or late May. Xmen will be out first, followed by Sailor Moon and after that will be about 3 more mods and then after that, who knows. I'm putting a tight lid on the other mods I'm doing until I get past a demo release. My method now is to just get the stupid thing done and make a complete release on the first round. Anyone disagree with that?

No. Demos of BoR mods are boring. Well, sometimes they might help if ur stuck or if you got no time to continue the work on the project for some time or to atract contributors to help u out and stuff like that, but e.g. little bugfixes could also be done after a 'complete' release.
...The worst thing one could do is release a 'complete' mod but everyone that's into BoR recognizes that ur mod is unfinished - that just damages the reputation of the BoR modding scene.

Insane homebrew collector.
No. What emulator do you need for the genesis backgrounds?kungpow12345 wrote:Well I'll be using the SNES music since this is pretty much a SNES remake. I'm using the spc music from Sailor Moon, it's a direct rip of the music from the game and its working very well. As for the complete mod versus the demo ones, I would agree with you Christuserloeser. I mean in the early days, I knew my skills as a modder sucked, but as i went on and learned stuff from dcsteve and vicviper, king herb, braze and mrq, I realized that it was rather pointless to release countless demos of your game and since people didn't like the demo releases anyways, I just decided to finish the game in the first round but do post news about it when it's about done so people know what to expect.

Well I haven't decided about that yet, it depends on what I can do with darkbor turbo. Yes, it has magic and that's why I've decided to use it. And since it uses p-shot, it might be best to use that and still have the awesome melee attacks in there. Better late than never, I always say.
