Dead or Alive 2 US
Have anyone here played this game. I bought it a few days ago for $17.99 in EB games. I think its the best fighting game for Dreamcast. My favorite character is Kasumi . Now I was looking for secrets in the game but I didn't find many. Are there secret costumes, options or characters in the game? I already know the bounce trick, the stupid pause trick, and the arcade intro.

yep. though with those kind of games sumtimes i download the save to make sure i have unlocked everything in the end.Doesnt that kinda eliminated the point of playing the game?
yet i have yet to buy this game. I really want to though. but doesnt the JP hardcore eddion have more stuff to unlock or something? would it be more worth it to get this one?

I checked the blue swirl page but didn't find aditional costumes. They just have hacked saves for the game.Matisfaction wrote:Yup loads of costumes to unlock, just get the save from blue swirl to unlock everything

Dead Or Alive 2 Limited Edition (Japan only release) has a lot more things to unlock than the American version. Not only does the Limited Edition have tons of extra costumes, but two secret characters as well, along with a CG gallery.
You can check this page http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/index.p ... d=6479&p=1 for more information on the differences between the DOA2 games on the Dreamcast.

In LE, I believe he's referring to the "Naked Kasumi" in multiplayer mode, not the "Kasumi in the jello blob" which I got day 1.Nico0020 wrote:I unlocked Naked Kasumi once with a gameshark.
haha. i remember reading about that in the ODM and tried it. all u had to do was get a high score or sumthin. though i heard it was still edited here (like illbleed) and its much *more* in JP.
NK just runs away, and cannot really be controlled, making her worthless.

I believe the Japanese version will work on a US dreamcast because it's NTSC format, and thus should work on American televisions.tekkaman1 wrote:I got the US version of the game because my Dreamcast is from the US too.
You can also check this page http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/dreamca ... 25789.html for codes on Dead Or Alive 2. The only thing to unlock in the US version is the 'arcade intro'. Sorry

Japanese games always work on american tvs. its the console lock outs that are the reason they dont load on US systems without mod chips or boot disk.
And as far as I know DOA HC was release in all 3 regions pal being the hardest to find.
Pal gaming stinks unless you got 60htz. 50 just feels so laggy. A version of the LOTR rpg my friend has is pal and its like watching a game play with frame skip on.
