Your thoughts on Bush...
I'm a partner from the north (being Canadian), I would like to know what the people of America think about Bush. We dont get Bushes mind-warping propaganda (or Fox for that matter), so I find our concesus is believing hes a joke.
But I still havent really found out what the normal American public feels about him.. do most hate him? Does everybody like him? Do you believe what he says? Please post thoughts, Im not trying to start any flame war, just want to gain informative knowledge on the current state of US government.

Most of the people in america want bush as president. I don't like either one of them because of their idiotic campaign commercials. They don't focus on their own strengths, they focus on the other candidate's weakness. For example, JOHN KERRY IS AN ASSHOLE, Hi I'm George W Bush and I approve this message.

It's split right down the middle, 52/44 Bush/Kerry on Gallup, 48/46 Bush/Kerry on Reuters/Zogby. Now, a candidate may win the popular vote, but lose the election because the electoral college can go either way, it's a dead heat as of right now. I think Kerry could stand a good chance at winning if he used smart attacks instead of flinging dog shit recently in retaliation from attacks like the Bush administration has been doing the whole time.
All I know is that if Bush stays in office, Iraq will destabilize into a huge mess, he'll go swinging his dick at Iran, and they'll nuke us. He's clearly forgotten the war on Terror, as he's lost focus on Bin Laden who caused 9/11, there's been no intelligence reforms, no plans to increase the size of the troops in the military, no plans on lowering the deficit, balancing the budget, and I could go on and on about it.

It depends on where you ask this question at wheither you're going to get pro or anti Bush opinions. Most people on these forums, or online as a whole, are either against him or neutral (leaning more toward liberal). I'm pretty neutral, but leaning more towards republican/conservative. I'm against abortions, neutral on gay marriage and the war in Iraq, for his tax cuts (I don't care what you say, we got over $1000 and we are NOT rich by any means. We may have been evicted had it not been for it, actually).
I think his support for immigrants into the country is a bit dumb, and I hear rumors of a draft. If he brings a draft, then I take back anything good I ever said about him. Draft=no-no.
Oh yeah, and Bush may be one of the worst speaking presidents we've ever had.

So, a President can do whatever he wants as long as he gives you advance notice? That's pretty scary.hearld500 wrote:At least Bush does what he says. Thats why I like him.
The 'secret' is that you have to listen to what Kerry says instead of just the sound bytes. He actually has explained his plans. And, what exactly is Bush's plan in Iraq at the moment? Things are pretty unstable, and he hasn't told us how he plans to get out of this mess. Is he just going to wait until all of our soldiers are dead and just bring them home in bodybags?hearld500 wrote: Another reason is that he actually has a plan and tells you what it is instead of just "I have a plan for everything, but I can't tell you becuase its a secret."
