Woman Not Allowed To See Bush

Post by curt_grymala »

Prior to a campaign rally in Martinsburg, WV (that's where I live), the Bush camp was distributing tickets to the rally. A woman went to get tickets for herself and her daughter, and they were told that they are not welcome, and were denied tickets, because she had a Kerry sticker on her car. The woman said that she was undecided as to whom she was going to choose, but is no longer undecided.

Apparently that means he doesn't want to convert any Kerry lovers.

This is tame compared to most stories of a similar nature.

The president is allowed to deny anyone he wants to see him -- it's a free country afterall, isn't it?

Or didn't it used to be?

Rand.

Hey - it is a free country (at least, it was before the Patriot Act), and, as far as I'm concerned, he can keep on doing it. The more people he turns away, the lower his numbers get.

West Virginia is not a swing state (I'm pretty sure, anyway. If not, then forget everything I'm about to say. :P) so what does Bush care if he loses one voter in a state he'll get anyway? Besides, this is nothing new for Bush. He doesn't like any kind of disswnt at his rallies. ("Free speech zones...")

West Virginia is not a swing state
Yes, it is, depending on how you define "swing state". Why would he bother holding rallies in red states?

According to electoral-vote.com, the current battleground states are:

West Virginia
Oregon
Michigan
Maine
Ohio
Minnesota
Iowa
Missouri
Virginia
Arizona
Tennessee
Arkansas
Nevada
Colorado
Wisconsin

It was a red state last time. :P Like I said: I wasn't sure, so you can disregard the entire post.

Michigan shouldn't be a battleground state, it's like 74-30 for Kerry, from a poll I saw on CNN, I think.

We lost somewhere around 2500 jobs just in a 3 mile radius around where I live... which probably attributes something to that

I let pretty much any women see my bush. Except those army dressin, man hatin' lesbains. They'd probably chop something off.

there's a method to the madness.

At any political rally/event, there may be lame folks trying to cause a ruckus. This goes for either camp. Not that refusing entry was the wisest choice, but it was justifiable.

Dan Quayle was worse than bush. i've been seeing some of his quotes and they are worse than bushisms.

for example
