I actually hate to have to be the one who says this, but its just not gonna happen. Sega is not doing any more console hardware anytime soon. A petition to this one has been done before, and nothing has come of it, but like nothing will likely come of this one. Just out of a matter of interest, what do you expect of this "Dreamcast 2"?

fishyrooter ace is right we all tryed various things with sega it doesn't work if you want you can still help the exsisting dreamcast with new games
http://www.dreamcast-scene.com

just to make you happy I can't tell you anything about sega's new console but a strong word is that sega isn't done for they will return but not in the forth comming war (PS3 , XBOX 2 , (?Nintendo something?) , PSP , Phantom etc) but sega will be in the next one it is not confirmed ( ps4 , X box 3 etc) Sega will be there if there fainancial condition goes well

they were a few names for it leaked on the internet I doubt it was true Sega was developing some what dreamcast 2 but they canned it in late 2000 they said they will analyse there current consoles and then judge and make a new marketing scheme and eventually come back after 3-6 years

Well I would like my DC2 to have dual SH-4 running at 400 Mhz apiece.
with 64 to 128 MB of RAM. running a brand new spankin PVR graphics board that's 256-bit. .... and having controllers similar to PS1/2 (dual analog sticks AND triggers.... soooooo sweet).

but yeah. it ain't happening. what would be nice is if they allow us to release Katana made games just like the KOS made games (and give the latest build of it)

yeah, nothing will happen to the DC scene. Look at the homebrew scene of the Atari 2600. its still going on strong after so long.

Dreamcast 2.. well since they usually use arcade hardware..
it's would either be a Chihiro, or Triforce based system..
Which translates to.. an Xbox with a GDROM
or a Gamecube with a GDROM
