To mark the 5th Year of the Dreamcast I have asked around places to see wheater Shenmue 3 the last of the series will finish up on the console it started on.
I wouldn't see a problem with it coming out and it would be great to see it .... it would Bring the DC but to life and I know all of you here would buy it and it would be in a box set with 1 , 2 and the movie with it too.
This would be the best move for SEGA if they did this and make it a US / JAP / PAL like Feet of Fury
like i said I said i hope it happens........ not the fact they it may or may not happen and yu himself said the story will not finish at 2 as this one will do a lot better because everyone has seen shenmue 2 before because it was on the DC thats why sales didn't do too well... but if there was shenmue 3 on multi formats which sega like doing at the mo it will go well

only for euro and jap, you were talking about a domestice release, they didn't even bother to put the dc version in english. I would remove the slightest idea of a dc release for 3, as well as even a number 3 in the series out of your head buddy.
i think it would be better if they made shenmue 3 with the xbox or gc in mind, that way we will see the best version of it, and they can update the gfx, if they done it with the ps2 or dc in mind then the gfx wouldn't look all that much better then 1 and 2 (not that thats a bad thing).
If sega were to make it, they would probably have to go multi-format across GC, Xbox and PS2 to get decent sales, but with sega's new president and there dev team shuffling etc they probably won't even make shenmue 3 (in an interview in Edge Yu Suzuki said development hasn't started)
I have a little pre order slip from Game here saying yes your copy of Shenmue 3 for the xbox has been ordered
Well i liked shenmue 2 on the DC and in JAP it felt like you was really there and it had a better feel to it and when it came out on xbox it was nice to hear what ppl where saying as well.
It could happen like so many of my other ideas on this forum room they normally do ... hence portable dreamcast
Shenmue 3 on DC . . . I really doubt it. It is comming out, but it is comming on the Xbox. Yu Suzuki is working on it now. He developed the others while with AM2; but after the reshuffling, Sega gave him is own new studio to work on big name projects / properties. He is going to try to squeeze the life out of the Xbox just like he squeezed the juice out of the Dreamcast for Shenmue 1 and 2. More than likely, the biggest thing for the Xbox will probably be a major increase in the polygon count in comparison to the DC versions of 1 and 2. He could probably do Shenmue 3 on DC by simply reducing the polygon counts to Shenmue 2 quality, but I really do not think he will bother trying. Honestly. If he wanted to drop another game or 2 for the Dreamcast while with AM2, he would have done it already with perhaps even a toned-down version of Virtua Fighter 4. However, that didn't happen.
