Saturn battery mod

Post by 0newinged »

Well, I recieved my saturn from eBay today 8-) But the internal CR2032 is dead... so I can't save until I buy a memory cart or replace it. I went to Radio Shack tonight to see if they had any.... guess what... none in stock :( Those things are never around when you need them it seems.

So, I was thinking of modding a 3V AA battery adaptor to the thing. And it just so happens I have one left over from another project.

Could someone tell me where I would have to make the two connections in order for this to work? I don't want to put the wires in the wrong spot... I have a 9V snap connector wire I was thinking of using. similar to the VMU mod idea.

Thanks in advance.

I could, except Wal-Mart has none either. The only place around here that has them is radio shack but I'll have to wait till they get new stock in.

besides, where's the fun in that? :bowl:

Those CR2032's are very common. You should be able to find them at many grocery stores even. I bought my last set at Publix! Don't risk your Saturn for that. I have two Saturn's. The batteries last about two years and Lithium cells won't leak ACID all over the place when they are completely drained. Alkaline cells can do that and that WOULD KILL your Saturn.

ok i'm straying a bit off topic here, but what are some good imports to look in to? I see there are quite a few floating around on eBay. A lot of them seem to be fairly cheap compared to some domestic games.
