I'm also doing my new vegas thang... Been playing since midnight release (Steam)... about 20 hours deep. loving it hard. at first i wasnt feeling the love i had with 3, but once you start questing all of the factions, and how just about every single faction counts in some kind of way to effect the big battle at the hoover, super love.

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
I have an HTPC set up on my TV. So with FNV's easy 360 controller compatibility and the high amount of awesome mods that will eventually be available, it was a better choice to buy in on PC. Steam's ridiculous deals also have been making me play more PC games lately. But only games with a controller. I don't even have a keyboard hooked up to my HTPC, I use my iPhone.Jeeba Jabba wrote:Whoa, melan playing a PC game?

Kirby's Epic Yarn
Very easy and very "cute", but I miss my 2D platformers and this is a great one. I'm gonna really enjoy 100%ing this. The most straight-up fun I've had with a game for a long time.

Fable 3.
I wasn't a huge fan of Fable 2, but for $17 I couldn't pass it up. I loved the first game, and at that price, it's worth checking out.

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
I just bought an NES on eBay. I'm not entirely sure why. But it should be on its way shortly.
It came with all three Mario Games, Contra, Bionic Commando, Castlevania, Excitebike, Tengen Tetris, Zelda 2, the TMNT games, Punch Out, Double Dragon 2, Dr. Mario, and a dozen or so others I don't care so much about. Also has two controllers, the (gray) zapper, and a new 72-pin connector. $69 plus shipping... not the steal of the century, but I think I did all right.
Now resisting the urge to continue this trend with an SNES, Genesis (preferably an X'Eye... why oh why did I sell the one I had?), and Saturn. Somebody stop me

That's still not bad. Since the NES has been 'retro' for quite some time, standalone consoles with the original pin connectors go for $55+.DaMadFiddler wrote:I just bought an NES on eBay. I'm not entirely sure why. But it should be on its way shortly.

That's why I'll probably end up buying a broken NES (with flashing light) and cleaning/realigning the pins.

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
Yeah, it seemed like a fairly decent deal. I've been keeping an eye on listings for the last couple weeks, looking for a relatively inexpensive hardware/software bundle to pop up that contained a fair number of desirable (to me) games. I've taken potshots at several, but this one got listed for a $69 BIN price yesterday, and I jumped. Here's the listing, in case anyone's interested:Eviltaco64X wrote:That's still not bad. So, a grand total of about $85 for a refurb'ed NES with 31 mostly decent games (including two or three that sell for $20 each individually). Now begins the hunt to fill out the collection

After looking at some NESes for sale on eBay, I think I'm going to go for an older boxed Action Set (bundled with the gray zapper instead of the orange). They're cheaper than I initially thought. I always thought that box art was pretty awesome, so why not?DaMadFiddler wrote:Yeah, it seemed like a fairly decent deal. On a different note, I just bought Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 (PS1) for $5 off of eBay.

I used to love that game. I'd always spend my time spelling out Cassette in that one room.Eviltaco64X wrote:DaMadFiddler wrote:Eviltaco64X wrote:DaMadFiddler wrote:

Goldeneye (Wii)
Nier (PS3)
Brutal Legend (PS3)
Also thinking of ordering Battle Kid. It's a new game for NES that plays like a cross between Megaman and Cave Story:

Rune Factory 3 (DS)
My life is complete.
Knights in the Nightmare (PSP)
The analog stick works suprsingly better than the DS stylus (apart from menu navigation), and the bigger screen/higher resolution makes it much easier to play.
Mana Khemia Student Alliance (PSP)
I've heard it's shit.
