I finally broke down and upped to 2gb of ram. 1gb just doesn't cut it anymore :/sixteen-bit wrote:The Witcher - £20 - PC DVD
Played it for maybe 20 minutes to try it out earlier, seems pretty good but loads real slow and pages to disk all the time with 'only' 1GB of RAM.

Assassin's Creed Limited Edition (PS3)
I must say, this game looks badass, and plays great too. It's just a shame that they ruined their own story by revealing the best kept secret in video games since MGS2 by giving it away immediately after the intro movie.

Guitar Hero 3 (Xbox 360)
Had to get it without the guitar for now, since it's impossible to find the bundle anywhere in town during the holiday season. I'll pick it up after Christmas.

Sonic the Hedgehog (360) - $10
Burnout Dominator (PS2) - $10
I thought I would get at least $10 worth of fun out of Sonic...but man was I sadly mistaken. Considering the number of times I died just in the first level due to pits of death, I couldn't even imagine the frustration factor that must take place in later levels.

imo, the sonic game for the 360 and the ps3 was the WORST 3d sonic game thus far. Sure the graphics were teh pretty, but whatever.
anyway, I bought the wii zapper complete with Links Crossbow Training and played it for several hours last night.

Rented Halo 3. I honestly don't see anything breathtaking about this game. Seems like Halo 1 with prettier graphics. I do feel pretty lost since I didn't play Halo 2 though. I guess HAlo 3 was probably aimed for the on-line play though.
I can see why Mario Galaxy beat Halo 3 in ratings though.

Quite fun. Pretty challenging too. It's really for the fans of the series (pre-RE4.) An on rail shooter with some nice extras, but it doesn't suck like Survivor. I was shocked at how well it captures the classic RE atmosphere considering the genre, and it really does get the adrenaline pumping. If you are a fan of the series or on rail shooters in general go and check it out, you will be pleased, otherwise I can't guarantee you'll like it.Dew wrote:Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles
