It's already out in Europe and US version will be out tomorrow. I was trying to buy some points just now to be ready for it but I can't seem to connect to the shop.

this may be the 4th different form of OoT but ive played very little as i never owned the n64 version, or the master quest version, and i sold my collecters edition on the cube for a bit of money.
im gonna buy it, and i dont like it when people criticize nintendo for putting this game out on the vc when it is arguably the best game of all time.

A couple of IR LEDs will do the trick. Something like this. Of course, you can use a plug-in transformer rather than batteries, or probably even a USB cable to supply power.Skynet wrote:What did you build it from?

How would someone with a 9th grade electronics course and that's about it go about doing something that would run off USB?BlackAura wrote:A couple of IR LEDs will do the trick. Something like this. Oh also. I saw one video on the net where the guy was using it on his PC and he needed his Wii turned on, is this the case? Or if I were to use my Wiimote on my PC would all I need is the sensor bar and a blutooth dongle?

1. Regarding the Wii remote sensor bar: If you're too lazy / not confident about making one yourself, there are a few battery-powered and AC powered ones being made by third parties now. The disadvantage, of course, is that you'll be paying $20-$30 for what is essentially a simple LED light.
2. This actually wouldn't be a bad deal, if I didn't already own the Zelda Collector's Edition disc (came with my 'Cube; that's part of what pushed me over the edge into buying one). N64 games are $10 each, and NES games are $5. Majora's Mask isn't out on VC, but assuming it does get there eventually, that would be $10+$10+$5+$5...or $30. The Collector's Edition disc regularly goes at used game stores for anywhere from $35-$50, with those same exact games on it. Of course, there is the issue of having it on a physical medium, and thus not having it locked to a particular unit...but more and more, with things like iTunes and Virtual Console gaining popularity, I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one who cares about that

But... does you Wii need to turned on to use your Wiimotes on your PC? Or can you turn on your Wiimote without the Wii coming on?

The Wiimotes work independantly of the Wii itself. As long as you don't hit the power button on the Wiimote, the Wii won't come on and you can place it in discover mode (holding down 1 and 2) for a bluetooth adapter to find it.Skynet wrote:I have seen something like that before. As for a sensor bar, I might post pictures of the one I made tonight.

I have the Master Quest Disc for GC along with the collectors disc and not to mention the actual cart on N64 so there is no reason for me to get it. However I did get Solider Blade,Donkey Kong Country and Gunstar heroes the other day because I found a wii point card at game rush!
Have you played dreamcast today?
