Dreamcast/pc homebrew idea + help request

Post by Sebytheman »

Ok, so I was playing Pilotwings on my super nes, and i couldnt help but thinking...what if this met Unreal Tournament?!
So I got this idea....picture a game like this...

Similar graphics style as Pilotwings (sprite-based characters and items on a 3D backdrop, third person, simplistic but detailed, retro-chic), but using a first person shooter engine (i was thinking build engine, of DOOM fame, wich would also simplifie aiming), highly modable.
So, basically, tribes-meets-doom-meets-unreal tournament-meets pilotwings!

coupled with fast-paced multiplayer, i think this could be INCREDIBLE for the Dreamcast! (or even pc....but better on dc!)

so, I am more-than willing, and certainly able to do all the graphic design...anyone willing and able to help with coding (wich i cant do!) ?

now, i probably wont be checking here as often as i should, so please send any answers to

The Build engine is Duke Nukem 3D, not Doom.

... not that that answers your question.

Sounds a bit like Propeller Arena.
