yup...cant wait to get flash advance to start some good old fasion portable nes gaming... next all we need is a gameboy/gameboy color emulator for it (seriously...i understand why the gba borders the sides of the games, but why border the top and bottom? when you "fullscreen games, they are even more distorted because it goes all the way to the sides, but still doesnt use several lines on the screen)...

It's not just the GBC games that are dark, you need a floodlight to play Castlevania: COTM.
I think I'll order a Flash Advance next month, not just for PocketNES or that Speccy emu but because I want to try out that DivX codec for it.

I was thinking the same thing about the Flash Advance... what with Xmas coming up, and me wanting a 'switched' GC from Lik-Sang, I was pretty much thinking, yeah actually, I *might as well* get a GBA Flash linker...
and I *might as well* get a DC coders cable while I'm at it...
and those GC LCD monitors look pretty cool as well...
And I've been hankering after a copy of SNK Vs Capcom 2...
Oh yeah, and Garou...
Damn you Lik-Sang for making me want to spend so much money!!!!

He we go, GB On GBA, I'm guessing this is what you were talking about Syntex, it's a port of Virtual Gameboy.

Is there anything like this for say, GBc, or any other cartridge based system?
[/quote]
hahahaha I believe BUNG had a lock on that idea many years ago...
AFAIK theres been such devices (purely for backup purposes... obviously ) for every single cartridge based console system ever...
How did you think ROMs were made in the first place?

Hey I was just someone who believed emulatorZ were things that changed your cmputer into a system and you play ROMz which were gamez. That was 2 years ago
Now Im thoroughly interested in the emu scene and i have very little knowledge going into it, so I had no clue wha tthe first emulator was and how the first roms were made.
here is another quick dumb question how do they get ROM dumps off of Arcade systems (not NEO Geo, but CPs2 and System12 and the like)
