How to create a selfbooting DreamSNES disc with games

Anything DreamSNES-related can be asked in this forum, such as general questions about the emulator, how to burn it, etc.

1. C:/BootDreams/Tools/

2. It can hold much more games - so yes, there's a page 2, 3, etc. ;)

Seems like you got some files wrong there.

Start with something quick + easy (without games):

Just download the original release again - http://www.dcemulation.org/files/emulat ... -0.9.8.zip

Start BootDreams, select your folder and click on 'Create Image'. BootDreams will ask you to select the main binary. You will need to select '1DSNES.SH4'.

(you could also rename that file to 1ST_READ.BIN before starting BootDreams)

In the archive there's a folder /cd/. You need to copy the included files (and subfolders!) to e.g.

C:/BootDreams/DSNES/

Then, you rename 1DSNES.SH4 to 1ST_READ.BIN.

Burn with BootDreams.

Once you tested it, you can still add games to your C:/BootDreams//DSNES/roms/ folder and burn it again. Don't forget the ROMS.LST when adding any games. (See 1st post for info).

Did you try v1.0 or v0.61 of BootDreams ?

v1.0 is the latest release, where v0.61 is the one with the boots. Someone reported that v1.0 actually wouldn't work, but I had no chance to really verify that yet - I need to buy me new CDRs first.

Hello.

I'm trying to get all the required tools for DreamSNES, but the link for BootDream is indeed dead. I was hoping someone could help me.

*bangs head on desk* im on coaster number ummm 6 i think, i explained my first 4 coasters in a diff thread http://www.dcemulation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=84831

the next 2 coasters came from useing the method described in this thread.

#5. I used the walkthrough 100% to the letter, added my unziped roms in the roms folder, added a crap load of mp3s to the sound folder (kept it under 600mb all together just to be sure to keep enuff space) made a roms list with this list maker http://www.dcemulation.com/files/needed/romlst.zip and put the list in the roms folder, added a NO_ROMS.HERE to each folder that does not have a rom. used boot dreams to make a DJ image and then burnt it with Alcohol 120% and when i put it in the DC it worked great untill it got to the pike technology screen and it resets.

#6 i burnt the same package as #5 but used the CDRecord frontend from BootDreams to burn the disk. i burnt a multisession disk at 8X speed. It burnt fine and when i tryed to play it on my DC it brought me to the music playing thing and wouldnt play, it wouldnt play on the play menu either.
