i need a good tutorial from people who got dreamsnes working
hi, i have tried MANY tutorials and ALL have failed. If anyone out there has made dreamsnes work for them, then can u please make me a tutorial for me, or tell me EXACTLY what you did, like, what burner program you used, were u downloaded the files, etc, because i seriously cant follow all the rest. i made 7 coasters attempting to make dreamsnes work and i dont want to waste the whole 100 pack of cd's i just baught for this, the burning program i use is nero express, so if you no how to do it with that, tell me, or just send me a proper link to get w/e program that you have used . I hate it when i read tutorials and JUST as im about to download the program, the link is old, and has moved.

First of all is your DC one of the ones that can play burned games.
Check on your DC's ass to se if it has circle with a "0 or 1" next ot your PAL or NTSC symbol on it if it does then just follow the main tutorial {I quoted it below} to the "T" and use Discjuggler instead of NERO.
If your DC has a circle with a "2" in it you are outta luck, , and go buy some real games or pull the old switcheroo on your crazy uncle's DC.

What you'll need:
Latest version of BootDreams
Alcohol 120%
DreamSNES 0.9.8 plain files
First thing first. Download and install BootDreams and Alcohol 120%. Now download DreamSNES 0.9.8 plain files and extract it (desktop would be the easiest).
Now that the downloads and extracting is complete, we move onto setting up the folder for image creation. Open the folder that DreamSNES 0.9.8 plain files was just extracted to. Place the IP.BIN into the cd directory. Next, put all unzipped ROMs in the roms directory.
OPTIONAL: For the ROM list to load quicker (by not reading each ROMs header for the game's title) you can use a ROM list creator. You can use Provlist by burnerO. You must place it in the roms directory prior to running (make sure your ROMs are in this directory). Use it at your own risk! There has been cases where people have ran this tool in a system folder, renaming all system files. Be warned that the renaming can not be undone!
OPTIONAL: A extra feature DreamSNES has is playing MP3s. By default there is 1 MP3 in the sounds directory. If you wish, you can place any extra MP3s there. Make sure at least 1 MP3 is present in this directory before image creation.
Now that your directory is setup, open BootDreams (bootdreams.exe). You can create a DiscJuggler or a Nero image. I recommend creating a DiscJuggler image. If you decide to create a Nero image, TAO is the recommended image type. Once you have choosen your image format in the drop-down menu, browse to the cd directory you placed the IP.BIN in earler. Now click Create Image. BootDreams will have you select the main binary. You will need to select 1DSNES.SH4. The image should begain it's creation.
Now that the image is created, you need to burn it.
That's it. Test it in your Dreamcast and play away!

Uncheck = Add post-post gap to 3rd party images.
Survey says: IT WORKS PREFECTLY. Thanks to whoever started this sticky.

Um, zlyricist, I have no idea how else to get these games to play other than to have the right DC.

i've been going throught the forums today and found a few people that said any dc made before december 2000 should be okay since mine came out in may of 99. i also found a bunch of people saying you cant use cd-rw's, only cd-r's. if so that could be my main problem!! ugh now i feel real noobish, but nobody seemed to mention that in any troubleshooting of the tutorials
