pike wont find cd drive

well i downloaded the package off the dreamsnes homepage followed everything got it all extracted/installed. when i run the dreamsnesinstall.pike i get an error message saying

probe for cd-rom units failed. only image file creation will be available.

after that the only thing i can do is close the problem. obviously i have a cd burner. can someone help me please!?

don't use pike (which should be sticky in huge bold flashing letters imo)
