RedHat 9 and Netgear MA311 Wireless NIC

Post by Derived Class »

seeking help with this.

Ive found conflicting information with this particular NIC. Its either got drivers already installed with the distro, or you need to build drivers that work with the orinoco or prism II chipset.

i got this working about a year ago, but i cant remember what I did to get it going. Im a total linux n00b. Can anyone offer detailed, step by step instructions?

Thanks... from a n00b

If your running a stock redhat kernel, you can grab the rpm's you need from http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/

Or compile from source, for which I think you will also need properly configured kernel source.
