nakamichi,
I think your special abilities are in creating something good out of those cheesy ass midi sets. That's not easy, and for that I give you props. It's very convenient for a game developer. By the way, regarding you comment I like instrumental piano stuff just as much as anything

It looks like Do-It-Yourself Games and Lik-Sang are going to be official sponsers of the contest, so 2nd and 3rd place entries should get some prizes as well.
Also, the prize for first place is up to $90 - hardly a "snickers bar" any more - that's definately a very respectable amount.
Keep the donations coming in! All donations made go straight to the winners of the contest, and will be noted on the page. Once the 1st place prize reached $100, the donations will go out to the 2nd place prize, then the 3rd place prize. I want to make this contest benificial to all.

I'd say we're likely to get at least 2 - Bluecrab crew's RPG already exists, and should just need some finishing (which will still be pretty tough to do in two months), and ice88/impetus have something already, don't they?
The one I'm working on is largely vapour at the moment, which means it needs to all be done in two months. It's just a load of code fragments, some test programs, about thirty pages of design details and scribble where I was trying to work stuff out, a few character sketches, and some half finished models (which may be finished by now, but I've not heard from BaldMonk in a while - I hope he's not bailed out on me). If all goes well, it should be ready. If all doesn't go well, it might show up sometime in January or February.
MetaFox - Can we use a pre-written scripting library, like Lua?

I dont know exactly what is left in the coding because I cant exactly say but I know Blue Crab is workin hard on it I think everyday and we are getting pretty close to finsh I think. As far as the art we make around 2-5 pictures almost daily (depending on mood ) So I hope/think we will be done in about a month or two...BlackAura wrote:I'd say we're likely to get at least 2 - Bluecrab crew's RPG already exists, and should just need some finishing (which will still be pretty tough to do in two months.
