Here is a list of compatable games for MDCNG Neo Geo emu

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Here is a list of compatable games for MDCNG Neo Geo emu

Post by ShadowHawk »

After asking my question about the correct roms i quickly found out that no one realy knew the answer so imade disk of different versions of the roms (pre 38 and post 38 versions of mame) I then identified size, compression (scrambled or unscrambled c rom), and interesting enough it seemed date of production had an effect on the performance (Twinkle Star Sprites should run due to size and memory needs but it did not in eather version of the rom as well as a few others) here is the list of compatable roms (the first group is Old Style pre 38 mame roms often used in Neorage) Andro Dunos, Bakatono, Blues Journey, Baseball Stars 1 and 2, Crossed Swords, Cyberlip, Eightman, Fat Fury 1 and 2 (2 was slow), Football Frenzy, Flipshot, Ghost Pilots, Joy Joy Kid, King of the Monsters 1 and 2, League Bowling, Magician Lord (both versions), Minasana, Mutation Nation, Nam 75, Ninja Combat, Ninja Command, Neo Mr Do, Puzzle Bobble, Pop and Bounce, Puzzle D Pon 1 and R, Riding Hero, Robo Army, SocerBrawl, SideKick 1 and 2, Stake Winners, Super Spy, Top Player Golf, Thrash rally, World Heros 1 (slow), Wind Jammer (the rest are version 2 of the rom used in Mame at present) Gururin, Panic Bomb, Sengoku 1 and 2. This is a complete list of games I could get to function they were all at good speeds with sound disabled and ran sluggish to unplayable with sound enabled. If there was some way to add memory to the Dreamcast board (I dont know of a way) all games would be playable with sound we would need to get the memory to around 64 megs (128 would be perferable) I hope this helps someone else and if I can answer any questions just ask.

:P :P :P :P :P

Are these the ones that run at full speed, or the games that run, but kinda slow?

Stake Winners
does not work

Have you tryed it ?

Quiet a few on that list dont work ive tryed them have my own version of this emu and even gave it more memory to load the roms but it would never run Stake Winners

memory has no bearing on speed at all the sound driver kills the emu.
Dreamcast forever!!!
