No, it doesn't support that as far as I know. It might, though. What programs are you using to create such high-quality audio? Or are they DVD-Audio rips?

And looking at the site, it doesn't seem to do much more than RAR. 53% the size of the original with Monkey's Audio, and 61% with RAR, and of course RAR has the advantage of being able to compress audio no matter how high it's frequency. But, as a bonus, Winamp supports Monkey's Audio, and if you're doing a lot, it would save a bit of space. It can also compress files in a quarter of the time. Check here for more info, including comparison charts: http://www.monkeysaudio.com/

Looking into it further, the best lossless codec seems to be 'La', which offers the best compression in all tests, but is closed-source (won't effect you) and is extremely slow.

24/96 is too high? What about 32 or 64bit/192kHz? 64 BIT! Why should anybody use 64 bit???
Who has a 64 bit sound card?
I don't know of even 32 bit ones....maybe the professional ultra-expensive ones.

There is no soundcard, pro or otherwise, that supports playback of 32 or 64-bit sound. However, it is possible to render sounds within a program (say, Pro Logic) at those extra high resolutions so that you can get the highest quality possible for the sound you are producing. Now, the difference between 16 and 24 bit audio is audible to some people, but going from 24 to 32 can't possibly add that much to the sound. Especially not with today's sound reproduction technology. Speakers just aren't good enough to make the difference heard.

Also, while you may be able to playback a 32-bit audio file within an editing app, the sound that comes out of the speakers is entirely limited by the hardware on the sound card (which again, none of them support higher than 24-bit playback to my knowledge).

I think there is possible for the main PC CPU to handle all that 32 bit processing and send the data to the sound card just to convert it as an audible analog sound

Yes,the sound card limits the 32/64 bit sound and converts it to 24bit/192 kHz maximum
That's the case with my soundcard

I'll never, ever need better sound quality than 24 bit/192 kHz Stereo.
(Maybe that same quality, but in 8.1 surround mode in the future)

yes,you heard right - 8.1
Now there are 5.1,6.1 and even 7.1 sound cards

DJ Geki,why don't you come to #dcemu ?
I'm waiting every day after 8 PM European time.
8,not 6 (my mistake,sorry)

I got loads of tracs to send :)

And,By the way,24/192 audio sounds very good on B&W DM Series speakers with a good ROTEL amp, which has the ability to completely disable the preamp for very good sound quality :)

I'll be there...just keep your pants on. The power supply on my main box blew up today so I'll need until at least tomorrow.

I don't know what time 8PM European time is here in the states. I'm assuming it's sometime near 5 am for me, though. I will NEVER be active during that time period. I'm okay with not hearing your tracks right away, but if you really want me to hear them, send me some links in a PM.

Connect on IRC and contact BoneyCork,he'll send you the tracks.
I sent him nearly everything.Just chat with him and ask for the files.
He has a very good cable connection, unlike me,which am still on dialup.
He will transfer you all files in a flash.

Or you can find me after 8PM European time.
Just be on IRC once after 2 PM your time, and I'll send 'em to you.

What about the one of mine you've been using for over a month? It's working fine now, and the downloads are pretty speedy. Loved the Mario Beach one, by the way.

I can. Have you tried using ftp://azbont:********@ftp.members.lycos.co.uk ? I've uploaded a few things since you said you were having problems. And if that doesn't work, why not try FlashFXP?
