Music for Homebrew Games
I've started a music project to enhance dreamcast homebrew (and who knows, maybe more someday). I will have some kind site up in about a week with info and downloadable music. My objective is to "professionalize" the audio of homebrew games. Some killer soundtracks already exist of course, such as dreamsnes, and FoF. I offer this music free and only ask for credit in the game somewhere. It's ambient electronic oriented. If anybody wants to hear a track before I get the site up, give me your email or a way to send you an mp3. Thank you

We have way too many stickies already, but it wouldn't be right to leave this as it is. Topic stickified. And good luck with your project.

I've been tempted to un-sticky most of them and link to them all in one big stickied topic, but then nobody would be able to immediatly see all those important topics when they entered the forum, defeating the whole purpose of stickies.djray wrote:wow! another sticky in the apps forum!

web address
Well, this new web address will do for now. Sorry for the few ad banners....just close them out and say no to any prompts. Here is the address: http://listen.to/rebuild
FYI. The other lame address still works, and it has no banners
I'm working on a new track so stay tuned. It may be posted within a few days if it goes well, or a week if I'm not satisfied.

Hehe, nice to see more DC Homebrew music artists specialized in various music genres...ambient,you say?
Hmmmm...Let's see what you're capable of...
...Downloading the songs...
BTW,my(Synth Dynamics') FTP is full of new demonstration tracks from the latest production.
The tracks for the DCRPG Project are all completed now.
They just need some mixing and additional sound enhancement and the complete soundtrack is ready.(in just a month, duh!)
15 complete tracks for the DCRPG Project. Now just the graphic artists and the programmers to resume the project, and it smells like another high-quality project other than Feet Of Fury.

quality
No there 128 but they sound fine if you use a decent encoder. Only a dog can tell the difference between my 128 mp3 and the original No seriously if anyone wanted better quality I would be happy to re-encode the originals and send them.

hahahahaha....
I can hear a difference between 256kbps and the uncompressed 1411kbps CDDA as well, but 128 really sounds too tinny for me.
See,even Black Aura can tell the difference.(the sound is A LOT LESS dynamic: weak bass, weak highs and tinny "quality")
Just stick to 192kbps (at least)
But if you want best quality, don't make them at maximum 320, 256 is more than enough.
(just no VBR MP3s please)
