I'm having a look at an object dump of the elf (I can't run it, stuck at work). It's a valid KOS executable, all I see so far are KOS related symbols and routines, but I've only skimmed through the first 10%.
Is it supposed to be game specific? Is it even the emulator? I had guessed that the ID release was something to do with some sort of security for future betas so they can't be leaked, but if that was the case there wouldn't be a reason fo a public release. So I guessed wrong.

Well, whatever it was, it sure wasn't an emulator.
Every symbol and function that I see in there is part of KOS (either KOS itself, libm or libc), aside from the main function, which just calls a few other functions. Let me see what those are....
Also, when converted to a binary, it's about 70kb. Considering how much KOS takes up, there's no room left over for an emulator.

Okay, update, it does have some original functions (get_id) which I don't elieve are part of KOS.
I think there may have been some confusion between the author and the webmaster (two different people as I understand) and the ID program was posted as an alpha for the emulator. So maybe I guessed right the first time.

that wasnt blur
hello, this is dcsteve (webmaster). That download was not blur that was the prealpha for THE ID PROGRAM. Which is a small component to that actual emu. The emu may be released shortly!

YES IT WAS FOR THE BETA TESTERS. When a public beta comes out, you'll know it.

Yea i've been wonderin bout crt0's new project too. I dont think it will be a psx emu, i think its more likely an app for Bleem or something like that.
Anywayz here's to high hopes (if it is a psx emu, who's have thought we'd all of a sudden have 2 psx emu's!!!)

Bleem is dead.I tihnk they left the DC 5k3n3.
But i think i kno wot u mean, like not let people kno they are who created Bleem? Maybe they could, but it seems to me like they wanted profit from it.

And why are you attempting to reverse engineer my code? You do know thats illegal...Heliophobe wrote: Okay, update, it does have some original functions (get_id) which I don't elieve are part of KOS.

PS, There is NO pre alpha. It was the proggy for the ID retrieving program, but it was rushed cos i had to remove the GUI to stop everyone bitching at me, and now it only works for serial cable users. Now everyones bitching at me and ive made a decision.
