OK
I have full version Quake 1.9v there is no pak1.pak in the ID1 dir.

You must not really have the full version...

Ive never heard of an official full distribution of Quake with only pak0

Hmm...
Something you could do is open up your pak0 in pakexplorer and check the maps folder. If you have E2m1-E4m8 then it more than likely is the full version. If not then its the shareware.

Theres a few other things that seperate the full version from shareware... but those maps are the easiest to point out.

There are NO Pak files, none, natha, I did a search on the whole thing No Paks! I am amazed... there are none! Look!

For some reason I do not have pak files! I just have the folders with stuff in them... I never had this before.

Whoa, for some reason your Quake paks have had their files extracted and no pak files exsist. Good luck burning DCQuake now.

That is very weird...

Talking on ICQ now... hopefully we get you some paks made and get it working in QuakeDC.


Main suggestion would be to take all those files and folders and drop them into a new pak file and call that pak0.pak

Going by your screenshot you should not include these in your pak0.pak
glquake folder
s0.sav
qwprogs.dat

Make sure EVERYTHING in the pak file is lowercase.

I'll post more if its needed.

PakExplorer turns file names into lowercase automatically.

BTW, if you want the paks you create to be equal to the original paks, include files this way:

If you still have the original Quake CD, you could just do a fresh install onto a new directory on your hard drive and get the PAK files from there.
