MegamanX: Odyssey

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

I believe its just a test for Mr Siggler to try and get his PC game ported to the dreamcast.

I've played the PC Version, It's very cool but still needs a lot of work untill its completed.

I believe this DC Demo is basically just to show Mr Siggler's advancement in porting his game, I beleive you can only move around and not do much at the moment.

I'd advise to wait for a later release if you want something you can actually play for awhile.

Yeah, you might wanna wait a few days. My current build is much better, as you can run around a large level, instead of beign confined to one screen. Also, aniamtion has been improved as well as the collision code.

I just wanna polish up a few tiny bugs, and I'll post an update.
After this update, there prolly won't be another until I get entities coded in, and populated in the level. Entities being enemies, items, etc..

If you wanna know anything else, just ask here.

Curious how the levels are made.

Would it be possible for a level editor to be released eventually?

That would be great.. level editors rock, and highly extend the replay value of any game.

Lunar Magic has tripled the replay value of Super Mario World, IMO..

Yes, there is a map editor. It's really ugly, and i've written no readme for it. If enough want it, I may release it.. but won't help you use it other then explain what buttons do what. It's really that ugly right now.
