Painting Dreamcast case..

I was thinking of taking my dreamcast apart and spray painting the case black and silver or something.

Anyone done this and have pictures or insight?

The gray color bores me now

I whipped up this picture in photoshop of what I want my dreamcast to look like

Except maybe with sliver for the buttons, front controller port plate

Check under the dreamcast section mate (u probs already have) they have replacement cases + lids for DC (and vmu) im thinkin of ordering a light blue or purple one for meself 8)

The Gypsy (Webmaster of boob.co.uk) made a awesome black lightning paintjob on his Dreamcast.

Unfortunately I believe he posted it on the old boards, which is a pity because It is really a awesome site to see.

Well, i have a black sega sports model . .I painted over the "Sega Sports" logo . .so it's all black. But I just got a new case . . .so my dc is black on the bottom, blue/transparent on top . . .and a DARK DARK (so dark it looks black) LED =)

it looks very nice

i recently painted my DC, and dubbed it 'napalm glory'.....wish i could post some pics, but :( i don't have any pics to post.

but, at any rate, the outer edge of the shell (not the lid) is all a red-orange, and i painted it so that it looked like the red-orange was dripping down the sides (conveniently missing the modem, the vents, and the control ports). the lid is a very dark purple/maroon/black, with a small flame design (in the same red-orange) above the grey triangle on the lid. also, my keyboard is a dark purple (actually, i managed to paint it so that it just sort of constantly flows from deep purple to violet).

the best part -- i painted it with acrylic paint, so if i ever get sick of it, i can just peel the paint off, and have the classic grey shell again, or repaint it as i see fit.
